Acer, the computer giant., no bodies fool when it comes to contending in the computer space, have announced their plans to enter the ebook book reader arena later this year.

Acer director Jim Wong, head of the companies IT Products section, outlined the tactics all through an interview with Bloomberg at Acer's HQ in Taipei.

The day before Apple's purported entry into the tablet sweeps-a gadget that would serve e-book readers and others-Wong also said the company will what's more present "hundreds" of apps online, programs that should support Google's Android program, now running on a number of Acer products, over and above supporting Microsoft's Windows OS.

By July, Acer is likely to circulate an e book reader with a 150 mm black and white display, Mr. Wong informed Bloomberg. "Kindle and B&N; they are US based.
