Acer Inc., no one's fool when it comes to competing in the laptop space, plans to be in the ebook book reader arena later this year.

Acer senior manager Jim Wong, head of the company's IT Goods group, outlined the strategy through an interview with Bloomberg at Acer's offices in Taipei.
